The bustling town of Morecambe has just welcomed a brand-new retail gem, as The Range opens its doors to eager locals and visitors. This exciting addition to the community is set to become a one-stop-shop for all things home, garden, and leisure. The grand opening, held on Friday, February 28th, was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Councillor Abi Mills, drawing a lively crowd ready to explore the store’s vast offerings.
A standout feature of this new store is the ‘Garden Centre by Homebase’, a paradise for gardening enthusiasts. It offers a wide selection of outdoor plants, gardening tools, and supplies, ensuring that every green-fingered shopper finds what they need. Adding to the appeal, The Range continues its dog-friendly initiative, welcoming well-behaved pets on leads, making it a delightful shopping experience for the whole family.
The excitement was palpable as early queues formed outside the store, with the first 50 customers receiving goodie bags filled with popular products. Lucky early birds also walked away with fabulous prizes, including a Charleston 2 Burner BBQ and a Cordless Combi Hammer Drill. Brand representatives from key suppliers like Calor Gas and Westlands were present to provide expert advice and product demonstrations, enhancing the shopping experience with exclusive promotions and giveaways.
This Morecambe store is part of The Range’s broader expansion strategy, with new sites also opening in Admiral Park, Eastbourne, and Oxford. CEO Alex Simpkin expressed his enthusiasm, highlighting the milestone this opening represents, particularly with the introduction of Garden Centres by Homebase.
Additionally, the store offers a convenient Click & Collect service, allowing customers to shop online and collect their purchases in-store within 60 minutes. For more details, visit The Range’s website.
